Atherton Menlo School, fourth here a year ago, will attempt to move to the top spot on the team podium in the day’s final race.

To do so, the Knights will have to unseat two-time defending champion Crystal Springs Uplands School in the process.

 

Menlo put five under 15:46 at the Central Coast Section meet last week to turn back the Gryphons. Menlo’s Landon Pretre was the section winner with 2023 state meet runner-up Benjamin Bouie finishing second for Crystal Springs Uplands School.

 

 

Southern Section champ Eyan Turk and runner-up Olly O’Connor iof Viewpoint will be among the leaders as well. Turk is the defending state champion in Division 5 for Riverside Woodcrest Christian. Blake Bay of Fresno Christian is the two-time Central Section champion, with Ford Stegge from Yosemite and Ryan Fitzpatrick of Nueva School also in contention as well.
