CIF State XC Championships Recap - Boys Division 4

Eli Fitchen-Young of Santa Cruz left no doubt in the sixth race of the schedule Saturday at Woodward Park.

The Duke-bound senior assumed the lead from the gun, toeing the field through the entire race, eventually winning in 14:41.3.

Broen Holman of Sonora, the Sac-Joaquin Section champ, finished second in 14:57.2, just ahead of Sunset League champ Max Douglass
of Corona del Mar (14:58.0).

In the team battle, the Southern Section logged the first four spots. Westlake Village Oaks Christian was the winner (61 points) ahead of San Juan Capistrano JSerra (89), Ventura Foothill Tech (147) and Palos Verdes (166).
