Los Alamitos - Winter Qualifier Preview

Olivia Bettinger, Charly Leak and James Sells are among the top athletes competing Saturday for host Los Alamitos High at one of four qualifying meets taking place throughout the state for the California Winter Outdoor Championships Presented by VS Athletics, scheduled for Feb. 8, 2025 at Arcadia High.

The Winter Qualifier at Los Alamitos is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., with a rolling time schedule of both track and field events.

Chaparral High, Fresno Pacific University and Simi Valley are also serving as hosts for qualifying meets Saturday, with all four sites starting at 9 a.m. and maintaining a rolling time schedule format.

Athletes will advance to the California Winter Outdoor Championships Presented by VS Athletics based upon a set of qualifying standards identified in the link below.

Eastvale Roosevelt High and Cal State Fullerton are scheduled to play host to qualifying events Jan. 4. 2025. A pentathlon will be offered as part of the meet timeline at Cal State Fullerton.

Great Oak and Rancho Cucamonga are expected to be hosts for qualifying meets Jan. 11, 2025.
