CIF State XC Championships Recap - Boys Division 3

Dana Hills’ Evan Noonan broke the race open in the final mile at Woodward Park Saturday, rolling to an eight-second win in 14:43.7, becoming the only male athlete in division history to win three consecutive titles.

The Dolphins' standout seemed content to run with the pack through two miles before making his move.

Liam Miller of South Torrance (2nd in 14:51.9), Miles Cook of Sacred Heart CCS (3rd in 14:54.5) and West Torrance’s Andrew Quast (4th in 15:04.7) crossed the two miles timing mat essentially together before the race heated up.

Moraga Campolindo (153 points) edged Oak Park (182) and Newhall Hart (198) in the team battle.
